MANILA - Avida Land, a subsidiary of Ayala Land, is eyeing P1.7 billion in sales from its first low-rise residential project in the country.

Herbert Herrero, Avida AVP for project and strategic management group, says the firm is pouring P1 billion for the construction of One Antonio, the 6-storey, 7,059-square meter development located in Barangay San Antonio Village in Makati City.

"The challenge really in putting together the concept is that the site is actually very close to the Makati CBD, it's about 2 km away and  it's within a low-density district in Barangay San Antonio, so that was the challenge  for the team initially; but we realized we wanted to put up a project that was one of a kind. We have our past experience; we wanted to introduce  a condo-village concept," said Herrero.

One Antonio units only come in 2-bedroom (56-60 square meter) and 3-bedroom (62-66 square meter) formats and prices start at more than P8 million a unit.

It is the fourth of the 15 residential projects in Avida's pipeline this year, which have a combined projected sales value of P30 billion.

Turnover of One Antonio units is slated in September 2019.

The 6-storey residence has a low density of only 198 units in a 7,059-sqm. property on Sacred Heart Street in Barangay San Antonio, Makati. Unit prices start at P8 million.

The property is situated in a quiet residential area with nearby landmarks such as the Makati Central Police HQ, Makati Central Post Office, and Makati Medical Center. Offices, schools, churches, foreign embassies and commercial districts such as the Ayala Triangle Gardens and Ayala Center are within a 2-km radius.

Avida has three developments under its belt—Avida Towers Makati West, Avida Towers San Lorenzo, and Avida Towers Asten.
