MANILA, Philippines – The Department of Justice (DOJ) has issued an Immigration Lookout Bulletin Order (ILBO) against alleged Cebu road rage shooting suspect David Go Lim Jr., a nephew of businessman and suspected Central Visayas drug lord Peter Lim.

Lim Jr., the primary suspect in the shooting incident arising from a traffic altercation along F. Sotto Street, Brgy. Kamputhaw, Cebu City is tagged by the victim, Ephraim Montalbo Nuñal, as the perpetrator of the shooting.

Nuñal, a nurse, suffered two gunshot wounds after he was allegedly shot on Sunday, March 19, by Lim Jr., who fled with a female companion aboard a Mercedes Benz with plate no. UWI 731.

The incident started when the car was criss-crossing on F. Sotto Street and stopped on the middle of the road, prompting Nuñal, who was on board a Toyota Altis, to call the attention of the Mercedes Benz driver.

Instead of parking the Mercedes Benz, Lim. Jr. allegedly went out of the vehicle and kicked Nuñal’s car. He then tried to punch Nuñal but the latter was able to ward off the blow, prompting Lim Jr. to go back to his car and get a gun and shoot the victim twice.

On Monday, March 20, DOJ Secretary Vitaliano Aguirre said his agewncy had issued the ILBO “to curtail” Lim Jr. “or those trying to protect him, to evade any responsibility from the shooting incident.”

“If he committed the act attributed to him by the victim, then he should squarely face the charges against him,” said Aguirre.

In a memorandum addressed to Bureau of Immigration Commissioner Jaime Morente, Aguirre ordered the BI to disseminate the information about Lim Jr. and  instruct immigration officers to be on the lookout/alert for Lim Jr. should he pass through the immigration counters in any of the country’s airports and seaports.
